John Wayne Airport Posts June 2026 Statistics

(SANTA ANA, CA) - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport decreased in June 2026 compared to June 2025. In June 2026, the Airport served 993,833 passengers, a decrease of 2.8% when compared with the June 2025 passenger traffic count of 1,022,397.

Commercial aircraft operations in June 2026 of 8,060 decreased 2.1% and commuter aircraft operations of 685 decreased 0.7% when compared with 2025 levels. 

Total aircraft operations decreased in June 2026 as compared with the same month in 2025. In June 2026, there were 25,028 total aircraft operations (takeoffs and landings), an 11.5% decrease compared to 28,295 total aircraft operations in June 2025.

General aviation activity of 16,261 accounted for 65.0% of the total aircraft operations during June 2026 and decreased 16.0% compared with June 2025. 

The top three airlines in June 2026 based on passenger count were Southwest Airlines (269,414), American Airlines (174,067), and United Airlines (161,184).
