John Wayne Airport Posts February 2026 Statistics

(SANTA ANA, CA) - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in February 2026 compared to February 2025. In February 2026, the Airport served 829,843 passengers, an increase of 5.8% when compared with the February 2025 passenger traffic count of 784,113.

Commercial aircraft operations in February 2026 of 7,056 increased 3.2% and commuter aircraft operations of 693 increased 28.3% when comparing with 2025 levels. 

Total aircraft operations increased in February 2026 as compared with the same month in 2025. In February 2026, there were 30,259 total aircraft operations (takeoffs and landings) a 39.5% increase compared to 21,685 total aircraft operations in February 2025.

General aviation activity of 22,470 accounted for 74.3% of the total aircraft operations during February 2026 and increased 57.1% compared with February 2025.

The top three airlines in February 2026 based on passenger count were Southwest Airlines (230,528), American Airlines (148,336), and Alaska Airlines (133,030).
