Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) Program

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) DBE regulation, 49 CFR Part 26, went into effect March 4, 1999. John Wayne Airport (JWA) is required to develop and implement a DBE program in compliance with 49 CFR Part 26.

On July 30, 2019, JWA conducted a stakeholders meeting to solicit public comments regarding the establishment of the Airport’s DBE goal for federally funded projects to be performed in federal fiscal years 2020 through 2022. On August 1, 2019, the Federal Aviation Administration’s Office of Civil Rights approved JWA’s three-year, 100% race-neutral, overall DBE goal of 4.7%.
